On October 15, 2023, a workshop was held focusing on promoting the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN. Special emphasis was placed on Goals 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and 13 (Climate Action), with an additional exploration of how sustainable agriculture and bio-agriculture can contribute to achieving these goals through this solidarity project.

Participants discussed the sub-goals through research and interactive sessions, highlighting how sustainable agricultural practices can contribute to climate action by reducing carbon emissions and promoting biodiversity. The workshop also explored how bio-agriculture can create sustainable urban and rural environments, providing healthier food options and improving overall quality of life.

The event evolved into an engaging session featuring games and presentations. Its primary aim was to raise awareness of critical environmental issues, inform participants about Greece’s obligations under the SDGs, and encourage advocacy for decision-making bodies while equipping them with research tools and methodologies.

The workshop raised awareness and collaboration, equipping participants with knowledge and actionable ideas to promote sustainable agriculture, enhance urban sustainability, and advocate for climate action in alignment with SDGs.
